IAW is the only nonprofit dedicated exclusively to helping people legally change their names and gender markers.

We work to ensure that all trans, non-binary, two-spirit, third gender, and gender nonconforming people are able to legally change their names and/or gender markers to affirm their identity.

We are based in the Castro District of SF, CA and have served over 500 clients in California since 2023.
